As required by K.S.A. 25-3009, a post-election audit of ballots cast in 1% of precincts in Kiowa County will begin at 3:30pm on Thursday, August 6th in the Emergency Management Conference room at the Kiowa County Courthouse.
We will audit no less than two precincts and two contested races for this primary election. The race that will be audited will be selected by the Secretary of State’s Office and the precincts to be audited will be selected in a random drawing at the start of the audit.
When the audit has been completed, the audit results are used by the county board of canvassers when certifying the official election results at the County Canvass.
Pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 25-105 notice is hereby given that the Primary Election will be held on August 4, 2020. I, the undersigned County Clerk of the County of Kiowa, having received a certified list of candidates for the various nominations to be made by each of the political parties of the State of Kansas, and in accordance with the provisions of the law, hereby publish the names of the candidates of the nominations of several political parties as the same appears on file in my office.

The polls will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
